57. Nature-Based Worldschooling in Italy

Filippo Bozotti is an experienced Italian traveler and father. He has spent two years worldschooling his young children around the globe. Now he is creating a new alternative education project in his home country of Italy!

The program is called Earthbound and will launch in March 2027. This initiative offers a unique opportunity for traveling families seeking community, nature and outdoor learning.

The Need for More Nature

The project takes place in Southern Tuscany at a massive conservation property named Terre di Sacra. Families will stay in beautiful seaside bungalows right on the beach.

The bilingual curriculum blends English and Italian for students aged four to eleven. Children will learn through hands on experiences like gardening and farm to table cooking. The classroom is everywhere in this wild environment!

Earthbound plans to operate during the spring and fall seasons. Families are asked to commit to both twelve week cohorts to build continuity. This structure helps children form deep bonds with friends and teachers.
