What happens when a global pandemic forces a busy lawyer and a restoration business owner to take their work remote?
For Miami-based couple Sol Velasquez and Camilo Camposano, it was the ultimate catalyst to trade brick-and-mortar stability for the liberty of full-time van life and international roadschooling. Listen at www.wanderworldschool.com.
Financing the Nomad Dream
Transitioning to location independence required a total financial mindset shift. By downsizing their life—selling their cars, a boat, and cutting unnecessary subscriptions—the family prioritized experiences over material goods. They flipped and funneled assets into real estate to generate steady passive income.
To maximize their travel budget, they rely heavily on credit card points and Home Exchange, a point-based platform that allows them to swap homes globally. "We haven’t bought a single airplane ticket in years," Sol shares. "Accommodations are the most expensive part of travel, and platforms like Home Exchange save us those massive costs."

Navigating Venice, Italy as a family of four on their full time travels!
iving abroad for four months in Colombia allowed the family to immerse themselves in Camilo's roots before joining the international worldschooling hub, Boundless Life, in Portugal.
Navigating new languages became a masterclass in bravery. Both Sol and Camilo emphasize that overcoming the fear of speaking with an accent is essential to true cultural immersion.
The latest shift to schooling abroad
Today, the family is based in Spain, where their children, Luna (11) and Leo (10), are enrolled in a traditional local school. While a rigid school routine seems counterintuitive to the nomad lifestyle, Sol and Camilo view it as their latest worldschooling hack.
It provides an intense linguistic immersion on Spanish football teams and deep local community roots, proving that worldschooling isn't bound by a single curriculum.
